This is notable for the unbelievably sexy and brilliant Paul Newman in a beautiful villain performance, facing off with the equally sexy and brilliant Patricia Neal and the super-moving Melvyn Douglass. Paul Newman has never been hotter. The whole movie, you’re praying that Patricia Neal will resist Hud, but nobody can.
